Have you ever dreamed about visiting Nepal, to dive into the local atmosphere and enjoy the breathtaking Himalayan scenery?! This spring you have the opportunity to combine all of this with a one week long Flow&Spin JAM in Pokhara, Nepal.
Pokhara can be described with one word – paradise! Far more relaxed and leisurely atmosphere than Kathmandu, located around the beautiful Phewa Lake and surrounded by snowy peaks of the Annapurna massif.
Born spontaneously, the idea of this gathering was put together by Floris Bro of happyhooping.nl and one of his Nepali friends – Sudip. Floris travelled to Nepal 15 years ago, and worked there for half a year in IT sector 7 years ago. 3 years ago he decided to go to Nepal to visit some friends and old colleagues. He brought with him some hoops and materials to make hoops.
Then in Pokhara, which is a starting point for trekkings and kind of a super relaxed and beautiful place for tourists and travelers, Floris hooped for a few days near the lake at the terraces of restaurant without guests. Every day more people with various props have joined with the vibe: “Let’s spin tomorrow again!’. That place has become their home for more than a week. All day (afternoon and early evening) people are there spinning and having fun . Sudip was running the restaurant with some other guys from Nepal who took up hooping quickly.
Last year Sudip, together with one Swedish friend Jakob, started to run Chautari: an organic farm and homestay you haven’t seen the like of in East Asia. Every day they do farming, construction and music creation. Jakob is traveling the world with his music project `Buskers without Borders`.
And Chautari is the place where Floris and Supid last year celebrated a one week music/hoop/flow art event and this worked out. One night over 100 people came to visit the festival. During the day 5 till 25 people were spinning. It started small and every day one extra person with a hoop was showing up. “It was very relax week, great fun.”.
This year is the second official release of this gathering:

Apart from hooping and spinning the festival offers all kinds of activities and workshops like yoga and meditation with professional teachers, Nepali farming and handicraft, arts and many more.
Many of regular Chautari visitors and friends of Sudip play instruments. They call Chautari ‘a place of music’. A place of music in Chautari gardens.
Also there will be a cook during the event. Vegs from the garden.
So everyone is very welcome there! Let yourself be enchanted by the unique and unforgettable experience!
